Notification Email

SuccessVerified

Receive alerts and daily summaries directly in your inbox.

Using your verified Shopify email for notifications.
Info1Your notification email receives all alerts and digests. If you use your Shopify email, it verifies automatically. Custom emails require verification via a 6-digit code sent to your inbox.

Email Verification Flow

When you use a custom email (not your Shopify email), you'll need to verify it with a 6-digit code sent to your inbox.

Verification Code Entry

Check your email for the verification code. Codes expire after 15 minutes.
Info2When using a custom email (not your Shopify email), you'll need to verify it by entering a code. The verification process opens in a modal or popup window.

Notification Types

Garrio sends several types of notifications to keep you informed about work waiting for you in Garrio:

InfoTask AssignmentImmediate notification when a task is assigned to you
AttentionEscalationUrgent alerts for customer issues requiring human intervention
SuccessDaily DigestSummary of completed tasks, new conversations, and activity trends
Knowledge BaseReview requests for AI-suggested FAQ entries and policy updates

Configure each notification type to match how you want to work. Every teammate can set their own preferences separately.

Email Verification Process

To ensure notifications reach the right person, Garrio requires email verification before sending alerts. The verification process differs based on which email you use:

Shopify Email (Recommended): If you use your Shopify staff email address, Garrio verifies it automatically since you're already authenticated through Shopify. No code required.

Custom Email: If you prefer a different email address, click "Send verification code" and a 6-digit code will be sent to your inbox. Enter the code in the modal window that appears.

Code Expiration: Verification codes are valid for 15 minutes. If your code expires or you don't receive it, click "Resend code" to get a new one.

Verification Status: Your email status is shown with a badge (Verified, Pending verification, or Not set). You must verify your email before receiving any notifications.

Once verified, your email address is stored securely and used for all notification types you've enabled. You can change or remove it at any time from this settings page.

Turning notifications off does not stop the underlying work from appearing in Garrio. Tasks, escalations, and queue items still land in the app; you simply stop receiving email prompts about them.

Separate Save Actions

Email verification and notification preferences are saved separately in Garrio:

Email Verification: Click "Send verification code" or "Use Shopify Email" to set up your notification email. This happens immediately and doesn't require the "Save preferences" button.

Notification Preferences: Toggle digest settings and task assignment preferences, then click "Save preferences" to apply them. These changes only take effect after you save.

This separation allows you to set up your email once and adjust your notification preferences independently over time.
