Email Thread

This is the real operating view for one email in Queues. Merchants use it to review the conversation, confirm Garrio's labels and staged actions, decide whether the draft is ready, and only then send the reply.

What this page helps you decide

The important question is not just “is the draft good?” It is whether the thread is still correctly labeled, whether any staged Shopify action is still accurate, and whether this should stay in Queues or turn into a tracked task.

This example mirrors a live merchant workflow: a customer asks for a replacement order, Garrio checks the order and inventory, stages the order change, and then waits for a human approval before send.

Can you create the replacement order for me?

Info1Opening the thread claims it temporarily so two teammates do not edit and send at the same time. If another teammate owns the claim, send and staged-action controls stay locked until the claim changes.

Info2Labels are not decorative. Garrio uses them to sort similar email work together, which makes shipping issues, order changes, and other approval-heavy threads easier to find in the queue.

Hi team, I received the hoodie, but the medium is too small and the weekend pop-up is on Friday. If you can swap me into a large and keep the same shipping address, please go ahead and create the replacement order for me. Thanks, Jamie

Hi Jamie, I checked the original order and confirmed the medium variant was already delivered. I also verified that the large size is still in stock. I'm preparing the replacement now so we can get you an answer without sending you back to checkout.

Perfect. Please keep the original shipping address and use whatever shipping method gets it here before Friday if possible.

Hi Jamie, I checked the order and staged a replacement for the large size using the same shipping address. Once the replacement order is approved, we'll send the updated confirmation right away. Because you need it before Friday, I also prepared expedited shipping for review so you do not have to rebuild the order manually in Shopify. Best, Garrio Test Store Support

Garrio will ask for another review if new async actions appear or if the existing pending action changes before send.

Info3The draft is based on the conversation plus whatever Garrio found in Shopify and Knowledge. A good draft can still be blocked from send if the staged action beneath it has not been approved or skipped yet.

What Garrio checked before drafting

Original order #1049 is already delivered and eligible for a size-based replacement.

Large / Storm variant is in stock, so Garrio can stage the replacement immediately.

The thread is labeled Order update, which keeps it grouped with other merchant-approval requests in the queue.

Create Order: replacement with expedited shipping

Garrio copied the original shipping address, swapped the line item to the large size, and attached expedited shipping because the customer said the order is needed by Friday.

Staged details: Oversized Hoodie / Large / Storm · source order #1049 · shipping method updated for review

Info4This is the real async-action review flow. Garrio can queue Create Order, Update Order, Cancel Order, or other Shopify mutations, but the merchant still decides whether the async action should execute or be skipped.

More thread actions

If the thread changes, Garrio makes you re-review it

A new customer reply, a changed claim, or a different staged action can all reopen the review loop before send. That is how Garrio keeps the final email aligned with the real store state instead of sending something stale.

How merchants should use Email Thread

Start by checking the label and the claim. If the label is wrong, the thread is probably in the wrong queue slice. If the claim is owned by someone else, the right next action is coordination, not drafting.

Next, compare the draft to the staged action. When Garrio offers to create or update something in Shopify, the action is as important as the wording because it changes what the customer will actually experience.

Use Create work item when the conversation turns into follow-up that someone needs to track, such as bundle pricing review, warehouse confirmation, or a policy decision that should not get buried inside one thread.
